Most women want to feel beautiful in their shoes.

Yet how can we feel beautiful if our feet hurt?

We can’t.

Watch my video and read below for more details.

Another fashion myth that is running rampant is the idea that if we can’t wear high heels we are doomed to the realm of UGLY SHOE.

But the manufacturers who care about women and our feet are increasingly offering more comfortable and attractive alternatives to high heels. So here is the list of the shoes I offer as the fashion solution to this fashion myth.

Wedge: The advantage of a wedge heel is that it has a sturdy base and the bottom of the shoe has full contact with the ground. This makes it much harder to topple.

Kitten Heel: The advantage of the kitten heel is it is far lower than stilettos and is easier to both walk in and keep your balance.

Flats: The advantage of flats is comfort, comfort, comfort! Sturdy flat sandals or shoes are increasingly available in attractive styles from many manufacturers.

Ballet Flats (closed toe flat): The same advantage as the regular flat, and these come in a large variety of styles and colours. These really do save your feet.

Platforms: Platform shoes often have extra height, so if you really want the height you get it without the wobblyness (I’m sure that’s a word) of a spike heel or stilleto. A wedge platform like the one in the video is perfect for stability and some height.

Block Heels: These have the advantage similar to the wedge. They offer the stability that you won’t find in the stiletto. Who really wants to be wobblying and hobbling around? I mean really?

Hidden Wedge: The same advantages of the wedge as above, just a different aesthetic.

Block Heel Over the Knee Boots: Over the knee boots have a subtle attractiveness about them and yet are available in lower sturdier heels. Offering you the best of both worlds.

So I hope you know now that there are many alternatives to high heels that are both comfortable and attractive.

I hope you are a little more educated and can look for the shoes that will help you love your feet.

Please tell me about your favourite alternatives to high heels in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
